It rained last night! When I looked outside, there had been a shower.
The neighbours behind our trash cans had a crew in, butchering the lovely weeping tree at the end of their yard. They cut back the bits that draped over our driveway, too. So now their outdoor lights shine clearly through lots of sawn-off branches and across the void where there was a curtain of delicate leaves. And they swept the driveway clean with leaf-blowers, too, even moving our trash cans to get behind them. I'm not sure what to layer the compost with for at least the next year, and I hate that parade-ground look.
At least Monty wasn't scared totally away; I saw him trotting away when I emerged with the dog for walkies.
Anyway, we shopped. They already had Xmas baubles hanging from the ceiling; maybe for Diwali.
Then at dusk I did Álfablót.
