It got to 100º in the back porch again today. But there was a slight breeze at sunset. Sammy reappeared, sitting possessively on the porch. After causing him or her to skulk off by watering, I walked the dog in the dusk after her dinner. When we emerged through the back door, Monty had reappeared after a couple of days and been waiting for me at the top of the back room steps.
