It was cloudy this morning and the dog overslept. But the temperature leapt upwards in mid-afternoon, into the mid-90s. So I had to hand-water, again. Also swept the pavement; the neighbours' lawn-care people blasted their leaves and other debris into our driveway and into the gutter. And tomorrow I have to pad out there to retrieve the newspaper, anyway. Which is now somewhat optimistically coming in a plastic bag again.
