Suddenly there's a puddle of orange catoneaster berries in the driveway, brought down by birds I presume. Today has been strangely cloudy, the temperature in the back porch room fell after I measured it at 1:00 at 73ยบ, and in Los Altos it struggled to reach 68. It's chilly enough that I've closed my window. We have a forecast 30% chance of showers; that would be nice, especially if it wets some of the wildfires.
