More catness today. The mostly black cat has figured out the dog is pretty harmless, and taken to just hissing as we walk past down the driveway. He's under a bush, but not by much; but the dog often doesn't notice the cat until the hiss happens (she never was very sharp-sighted, and now has cataracts). In the early evening I did a round of hand watering. When I started, Monty was asleep on the roof of the neighbours' shed. Two watering cans later, he was behind the garage, waiting. He let me past twice for the watering in that corner, and I put down the watering can and went to get him some food. Prudence was on the fence and headed away from me towards the driveway. I came out with the food, and they were both waiting outside the back porch door. So I put the food down there. Monty began eating, but Prudence ran away and posted herself on the fence on the opposite side. Hopefully by now she has got up the courage to go and eat her share. In front, I straightened the curtains and startled a very small tabby who had been eating the wet food there. Not the first time I've seen that one, but the first time I've had a good look at him or her. I think it's an adolescent, and with about ΒΌ of its tail missing. Hopefully has a nice home in one of the neighbouring houses.
