Fortnightly grocery run. There was a woman in the dairy section coughing almost continuously. No mask, no effort to cover her mouth. Luckily it was Nob Hill, which has a lot more space than Safeway. But they've cut their staff and there was no one to politely offer her a mask.
When we got home, it had topped 90 so I had to do a round of hand watering. It was getting very late in the afternoon by the time I could get to it, and to my surprise as I was finishing up in back, Prudence materialised under the orange tree and rolled in the dust there. I'd noticed light coming out of the basement windows, so I went down there to check things before turning the light off at the top of the stairs, which open into the back porch room. Only to find when I turned around that Monty had followed me in. (He sensibly oozed out again when I started to come up the stairs.) He then sat down on the kitchen steps, looking meaningful, and was still there when I came out with food for them both. Probably asking whether the dog's died yet. Then I watered in the front yard. I hadn't seen either of them in a few days and had been missing them.
