Between the holiday sweater and the totebags featuring their newly purchased electric locomotives, Caltrain's online store is currently offering their actual 1980s diesel locomotives for sale. Or more accurately notifying of their availability come October, once they're no longer using them. Sadly it says at the top of the website that they only sell to California buyers.

Yes, isn't that sad? I hope the railfan network can find at least one museum in the state willing and able to take one. If they were steam, I'd be absolutely tearing my hair.
