Late yesterday afternoon, I happened to look out of my window and saw a furry body. Closer inspection revealed Prudence and Monty, side by side, devouring the wet food. Maybe the neighbours with the better stuff are away for the holiday week :-) Today is hotter already; I got up late (sleep disturbed by dog) and as I was closing the window, there was a flash of a tail. Mama Violet was at the other end of the porch, looking justifiably angry this time. She came back and cleaned the bowl, and when I refilled it she was hanging around and as I closed the door was coming to get some. Healthy appetite on the old girl.
