The humidity was low enough today that two bandanas that I hand-washed and added to the second row of the washing line in the late afternoon were almost dry after an hour; and after I ran the sprinkler in back, the fence dried so fast that it was soon hard to see where I needed to fill in with the hose. (This time I did the hand-watering earlier, while Monty was still in front, eating :-).) No wonder the Chron is making alarmed noises about fire risk. I see the National Weather Service gives us a slight chance of drizzle after 11 pm, though. I wouldn't bet on any appearing anywhere around here.
