The housemate got up an hour early today, presumably woken by the sun, so of course the dog did too, and started barking. I eventually fed her, then did something online till I could expect the newspaper. Fortunately it was there and I could go back to bed.

Saw Mama Violet at dusk. She was eating avidly but didn't finish the food. I hope she doesn't need work on her teeth.
