Yesterday was a public holiday here. As I was hacking about in the front yard, an icecream truck trundled through. No reaction from the kids playing across the street. Hope he got some custom closer to the park, though the guy selling Mexican-style ice from a little truck has the park itself locked up most years, because he can get right next to the play areas and the family barbecues and birthday and wedding celebrations.

There is a guy who brings his ice cream cart into our local park. Unfortunately, it is really terrible ice cream.

That's a pity. But Wall's almost put me off ice-cream as a kid (especially the vanilla, urghhh; I continue to avoid vanilla anything), so I shouldn't be too surprised.
