It got to 88º in the back porch yesterday, and today was hotter. So I went back to my summer sandals, although they'll probably need replacing this year; the type with a single elastic lace, and it stretches out and rubs thin. At the library, almost all the little flowering cherry trees were in bloom; unwatered and neglected, but far fewer have died than I thought a few months ago. I wonder whether they'll try to salvage them when they rip down the library. (Its replacement is still being designed.)
