I cut back the remarkably long grass poking out from under the overgrown tree in what is now the nasturtium corner, and poked a couple more long nasturtium stems through the trellis top of the privacy fence. The yard on the other side has been very thoroughly whacked down, leaving mounds of chopped off weeds and grass; I think the little house is to be demolished and replaced, but hopefully that won't involve chopping off my plants or the couple of branches of the tree that have ventured back over the fence.
