And this morning Prudence was there at breakfast time.

The forecast shows no more rain, so 22.97" may be it for (Los Altos') water year. Not bad. (I searched for our local average yearly rainfall and the site I found said 18", but sites vary. Last year's record total for Los Altos was 40.79".) The forecast also shows a warming trend, up to the high 70s, and for some reason I see the temp. on the forecast page is for Moffett Field (Mountain View bordering Sunnyvale) not Los Altos. Maybe someone knocked over their weather station in Los Altos with a lawnmower.

I saw something today that said we may move over the summer directly from an El Nino Pacific weather pattern into a La Nina pattern, so next winter may be cold and wet. But for now... welcome to the Mojave desert!
