Quite respectable rain showers this morning—pretty good for a 30% chance. Apparently scattered lightning; missed seeing any. Prudence was puttering in the driveway at lunchtime, but today we had a visitation from the check-and-fix-it guys, so that was the only feline sighting all day. Their gutter-cleaning gave the dog something to look at through the front window, though.

How does one define "respectable" in rain? Does it call it's mother before coming down? Never wears old clothing if it rains on a wedding?

For that matter, how does a King or Queen manage to rain?

Having been raised in England and holidayed in British seaside resorts, I don't really count "sea-fret", spotting, or half-hearted dribblings as rain, though they have their uses in producing rainbows. And since I now live in an area that depends on seasonal precip, I want the rain to demonstrate a minimum amount of effort. At least more than the weather folks evidently put into the forecast.
