Sunny morning, rainy afternoon, as forecast, but so far no heavy rain (the Chron was and is being alarmist; and apparently SF has out out a general warning not to go near trees, especially in parks). The rainfall that petered out early this morning amounted to .6" in Los Altos; today's totals .55" there so far. No sign of cats except some forlorn pawprints on the front porch when I put the catfood back out there; an hour or so ago, the dog had alerted me and there was a raccoon chowing down, so there was an interruption of supper service.
