We had a pretty day to recover from the rain, which is supposed to return overnight. But the dog decided not to bother with a long walk. She did turn around at the back door and go back in the other direction, but when we passed the neighbour's yard, the neighbour was bringing out her garbage and the dog startled her by stopping and pointing accusingly at her. Or maybe hungrily. I apologised and brought the dog home. Then I swept the driveway and it was Monty and Prudence's turn to be confused.
