Steady rain this afternoon cleared up in time for walkies. The Chronicle is stoking alarm about below-normal rainfall, but it doesn't seem too bad so far. Of course there's a separate concern about snowfall in the Sierra, which provides most of our water. The Mountain Messenger reports the first snowfall in Downieville only came on Thursday.
