It rained yesterday evening! A light shower—dry concrete under all the bushes and the eaves on the garage. Then a more thorough wetting during the night. I don't know whether that was forecast, but much needed.

Also, the furnace man came and now the dog can stop gently urging us to go to bed and then hugging tight against whoever does so.
