So far we and the dog have survived the trauma of illegal fireworks for the Fourth. I imagine there'll be more this evening, but the weather continued mild enough that shutting windows and the back door wasn't unbearable, and I think having both of us home, jigsawing as is now usual in the evenings, was a comfort to the poor dog.
This is the back of a building that fills a block near the library. At the front it's more or less a standard apartment building; that courtyard entrance is flanked by the pseudo-townhouses (at least I assume they are not real townhouses) and I believe is actually the main entrance. In many ways nicer than the downtown developments, but I have no idea how they compare inside; I note they have studios, 1-bedrooms, and 2-bedrooms, while the downtown building currently being promoted goes up to 3 bedrooms.
