We did indeed get the first real rain of the season. There was 6" earthworm on the path just outside the back porch door when I took the dog out before going to bed. The poor kitties were a bit worried, but all three kittens came out to get their dinners this evening, to the delight of the neighbor couple passing by. And tonight when I took the dog out there was a long, low figure watching us from the top of the fence behind the oleander bush. Possibly the grey kitten, but it was very dark. The dog was oblivious.
