Dry and sunny the past few days, and there was a bit of stiff wind, so I did a full hand-watering today (and de-toadstooled in front and removed a few leaves from the grass front and back; I need to rake over the weekend and put out the greenwaste bin on Monday night). As I took the watering can to a potted geranium in the backyard, Monty launched himself from above and to my right and ran off around the garage, setting off bark-yapping from the little dog on the other side of the chainlink fence; he must have been sitting in the sun on the brick hearth. Poor kitty.
