It was warmer, again; the cracks on my fingertips are healing up, yet the heating is still coming on at night, so it's the cold, not the dryness or the handwashing. The park was full of poorly controlled kids, and the poor puppy wanted to play with me and/or the dog.

Then some time after we got back from picking up books reserved for us at the library, all the phones went off at once: the county is back in the highest category of risk/regulations. I was totally caught off-guard; the Chronicle hadn't said word one about this county.
