Mama Violet is the mom cat; I don't know whether Ms Bella ever had kittens, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was Mama Violet's mother. Poor beautiful lady.
Poor thing, that's very sad. I always enjoyed your accounts of her staying one step ahead of the neighbourhood dogs and other creatures. I hope she didn't suffer.
