Even hotter today. I slept in a bit after staying up very late last night, but I managed to provide some kitty food. Unfortunately since it was Monday I then had to run the sprinkler in the front yard. The poor kitties were very perturbed. Monty took refuge up the magnolia tree, Mom stalked off next-door. The dog slept most of the day and only scrabbled at my window once.
The twice-yearly bulk pick-ups where you could put anything out at the kerb short of military ordinance and much of it would either get gleefully adopted by neighbors or hauled off by refurbishers and sellers worked so well; but they cancelled them several years ago and now people just dump stuff in desperation.
