110 degrees. Mom and 4 kittens were waiting for breakfast when I crawled out at 8'ish to get the newspaper; after eating up, the kittens hung out on the porch and tussled under the birch tree (now I know why the long grass around the trunk is flattened), then went elsewhere as the heat climbed. When I went to get an ice from the freezer in the garage, the stuff in the door racks started crackling from the hot air.

Yup, somewhat chlorophyll-deficient, as the housemate says, but ripening nicely :-)
