It was steamy hot today, so of course I was out in the yard in the afternoon, potting up geranium cuttings. I also repotted the saddest of the little tomato plants; hopefully it will survive the shock and feel better. All are bearing lots of tomatoes, they've been a good buy. I also got a third squash from the two plants under the laundry room window, bought at the same time from the hardware store when we picked up the vacuum cleaner.

When I took the dog to the park on walkies, a couple were posing for pictures on one side of the path while a small number of friends and family, including children, spilled across it onto the grass on the other side. Luckily I was able to lead the dog around behind some trees where the corner of the pool building used to be, or we would have had to photo-bomb them: a large silly-looking black dog and an old woman swathed in yellow bandanas, wearing a stained T-shirt advertising construction equipment, dungarees, and hiking boots, and with a hiking staff and a Safeway plastic bag of dog poop. The lady was wearing a beautiful vaguely 15th-century dress in vibrant green, and there was colored confetti on the grass on the other side of the community building, so it was presumably a wedding. Good for them, but a bit selfish.

The matching geraniums are a nice touch.
