One guy in the neighborhood walks his chubby chihuahua without a leash. It churns along behind him as best it can. This evening as we came to the end of the street, he was standing around the corner chatting with the neighbor lady, who was on her porch. I paused to wait for him, and he reached down and picked up the dog, which had been invisible at the base of a fence. Luckily our dog hadn't seen it and tried to eat it.
