For the state of North Carolina: 5th warmest March, 10th coldest May; 10th wettest spring, 3rd wettest May. The statewide averages appear to only have been calculated since 1895 and i'd like to know what sort of uncertainties are on measurements as the technology and spread of measurements change. Still, noticeably different!
Ours has been within normal recent variation, except that the air has been clearer: unless my sub to e-mail notifications expired, there haven't been any bad air days since shelter-at-home began, and last time we drove to San Jose, I could see the hills. If I'm right, I wonder whether that's also affected the temperature, but the NWS monitoring is so lousy here, I don't know how I would check.
