Today's walk had to be cut short, the poor dog (and the housemate) could hear fireworks that I couldn't, and she was terrified, while the housemate was freaked out by the two kids running loose in the park making it next to impossible to get into the park and move around the circular lawn; the parental units were in the center while the kids rode their little bicycles around the outside, and with a scared dog we couldn't move fast enough to stay distanced from them both. So we gave up. Unfortunately the dog doesn't understand fetching tennis balls, so we can't give her a workout in the back yard.
