All the time. It's Florida. We generally leave them alone. We name the frequent ones, though. Kevin, the Black racer, is really nice. (Not much for conversation, though. *g.*)
Also, Anoles, Armadillos, Sandhill Cranes, Wild Turkey, Golden eagles, Bald eagles, Owls, White Ibis, Raccoons, Opossums, Coyotes, Turtles. There are Black bear and Feral hogs, down by the lake across the street. Oh, and Alligators, of course.
In Ontario, the province I grew up in, we saw lots of garter snakes. Since I moved to coastal BC, Vancouver and now on Vancouver Island, I've seen no snakes, to date.
Yes, frequently during warm months. From very small snakes (worm snakes and DeKay’s brown snake) to small snakes (garter snakes) to kinda large snakes (3 ft plus rat snakes and black racers). All those seen since the beginning of May.
Strangely enough no (unless you count the humans, of course); there are warnings posted in the foothills parks not to go off the path because rattlers sleep in the grass, but I haven't seen any.
