It's getting hot again. The dog has decided the house is too hot and is spending all day outside, moving from the grass to the patch of path in the shadow of the garage to the shade of the plum tree. At one point she was rolling in the long grass on the edge of the plum tree where the ground dips, and got herself all wound up in the creeping stems, so she gave up on that side of the tree. We walked her in the early evening before the fireworks started up again; there were more people to avoid, but it wasn't too bad once we coaxed her down the steps.
