I went out to turn off the hose in the front yard and Mama Violet was peeking out impatiently from under the car. Luckily I had the catfood dish with me; putting away the hose will have to wait.

The neighbors have put in morning glories on their side of the chainlink fence, where there are no old doors zip-tied and bungie-corded to the fence as a dog blind. They all burst into bloom this morning: deep pink with white centers.
