How often do you get thunderstorms where you are?

How often did you get them where you grew up?

(I'd make this a poll but you may want to give an idea of location, and you may have lived, or live, in more than one place)

Now (Silly Valley, Californica): Maybe once or twice a year, and I often only hear about it after the fact.

Childhood (London and Greater Manchester): maybe once a month? Frequently both long and loud. I'd also often get headaches from the pressure change before the storm even if it didn't actually thunder where we were.

Where I grew up, there were times of year where we had a thunderstorm every evening rush hour.

Where I am now, they are rare.

Where I live now? Almost daily, during the rainy season.

Where I grew-up? Frequently, during the warm half of the year.

I like thunderstorms. Except hurricanes. I don't like hurricanes at all.

Hm, two or three times a year now [yorkshire, near Leeds].
Previously Hartlepool (north-east coast, near where it starts to turn west towards Scotland) it seemed to be once or twice a month instead.
