The dog is so thrilled to be able to run unsupervised in the backyard again. No more painters and their stuff! I have replaced the plants on the freshly painted porch (the painters didn't say anything about the rash of white marks, presumably caused by Ms Bella the hissy cat) and picked up what I could of the paint bits, orange peel, etc. left in the backyard grass. That brought on the first sprinkling of rain, and it's now wet and windy out. Since Ms Bella had belatedly appeared and polished off her breakfast and had been eying me as I tended to the plants, I fed her early before there was a risk of her dish blowing away. The poor dog will have to wait.
