I survived Hallowe'en at work and even made some money, although it was a bit fraught because the janitor got sick on Wednesday night and wasn't there, plus the morning janitor has quit. It was cold enough that I switched the thermostat to heating for the first time this season. Then the bus failed entirely to come. I suspect two of them failed to come. I suspect someone did violence to all but one of their 22 buses in the garage. Or all the drivers slept in. Or all the buses refused to start in the cold. It was a long, cold wait, I was 40 minutes late getting home, and only had time to water one position in the backyard before the 9 am cutoff; and I had to get ice out of the sprinkler head. Still no sign of Ms Bella; I hope she's ok and just gave up on breakfast after it got fully light.
