The driver of the bus I usually catch home has been wearing a black Santa hat (he's black) but forgot it this morning, so he was wearing a normal hat instead, I think a homburg?
When I got home there was no sign of Ms Whiskers and last night's cake of seafood dinner had not been touched. After I fed the dog I came out with the little can of chicken dinner to add to the dish and she had eaten about a third and was looking at me from under the rose bush. She started assiduously eating the chicken as soon as she was sure I was going to close the door.
