Fresh green threads of cool-weather grass are appearing in the backyard. There's also at least one morning glory seedling in the grass. The onion I put in the large planter has a new sprout off the old bulb, plus one of its seed bulbs is starting to grow. The neighbors in the two-apartment rental next door have some sort of vine in a pot; it's grown up into the copper-foliaged tree over their back fence and has a clutch of startlingly white feathery flowers floating up there.
