This morning a gentleman got on the bus wearing a long dashiki over his kakhis—basically a dress—and with his hands together in Buddhist/Hindu praying position. Then walking home from the bus stop, I witnessed a near collision between two cyclists: one ambled his bike across the street, wearing headphones, while the other was approaching at 30 mph, backpack on back. School being out, they were the only traffic in sight. Then when I walked the dog, the hoopsters were using one end of a basketball court while the Asian dance troupe practised at the other; the other court was occupied only by a coach giving a little boy serious dribbling and dodging lessons.
