Meanwhile, the inflatables guy brought out his swiveling-headed cat, his waving-winged dragon, and his huge, bloated spider after all, but had to block the path to the house to do so. Presumably trick-or-treaters will use the driveway.
This year's candidate for most over the top was already decked out by the middle of last month. I couldn't get all of it; that's the Wolfman standing at the top of the steps, and there are open coffins and dismembered body parts stuck in the hedge as well as the spiders, warning signs, and a spider that hisses and rears back when touched as if to sink its fangs into you was left casually on the sidewalk at one point.
