The massive block of apartments replacing the office campus on Mathilda Ave in Sunnyvale and the two massive blocks of apartments on either side of the creek on El Camino in Santa Clara (one of which replaced a row of furniture stores, Dosa House, and the little garden center with the spiky tree that bloomed in November, the other of which replaced the car reselling lot with the 1950s googly sign) are all nearing completion. In Sunnyvale they just put blinds in the front window, so I no longer walk past window after window of kitchens with brushed stainless steel appliances. The Santa Clara ones have reached the "Leave the lights on all night" stage. Across the road from those, Ramos Furniture is finally deserting its hexagonal building and has opened in the former Sav More supermarket just across the creek.
