We successfully replaced the dead indoor/outdoor thermometer. This one has two indoor stations for some reason, and both the installation of the outside unit and reprogramming to not show Eastern time were complex: the former involved twine to circumvent having to drill screw holes overhead while teetering on the kitchen step-stool, and the latter was complicated by the instructions referring to the units by long strings of numbers and letters rather than as "the large one with alarm function" and "the small one". All finished before dusk, thankfully. Now the thing will apparently seek the atomic clock after midnight, keep pressure records and display them as a bar graph, and forecast the weather. However, we avoided getting the model that displayed the weather forecast as a guy clad in appropriate clothing.
