I realized there are far fewer garage sales in the neighborhood this year. I suppose it's an effect of the increasing number of renters doubled up in the houses. The parking situation is getting harder - we got a snitty note from the trash collectors this week because one cart was too close to a car that is always parked almost at the corner of our driveway, and I'm noticing someone parking perilously close to the intersection and getting picked up by someone else shortly after I get home - presumably carpooling in and risking getting his car either towed or hit at the end of our street while he's at work.
