The neighbors who moved out left an exercise machine at the kerb with their trash cans. It's still there. It's blocking a hydrant, in fact. A few years ago, the city stupidly abolished the half-yearly "pick up anything except hazardous waste" days, and this is the result. It used to be a good system - dealers would drive around with pick-ups and vans and haul off most of the abandoned furniture and electronics, and the rest got dealt with efficiently in one go rather than sitting around being an eyesore, getting ruined in the rain, and blocking the sidewalk before finally being expensively removed.
