Sweetgum trees on people's lawns are firing up, Safeway has a pumpkin display in front of the store, the pumpkin patch with straw bales and inflatable pirate ship slide has appeared at the vacant lot on El Camino, and the new hotel across from Sunnyvale city hall is opening. It is indeed fall.
