I've fallen into the habit of getting a coffee at 7-11 every night that I manage to catch the proper bus (and that they haven't let their coffee urn run dry). Their coffee suits my tastes and they usually have a sugar container I can pour out of, not just tiny packets. Sometimes the person on duty is another middle-aged woman; sometimes it's a Sikh guy (that type of beard, and you can see the yellow turban fabric poking out at the back of the uniform cap). This morning I had sighted the bus in the distance when I saw the same guy crossing El Camino from the 7-11 and then coming towards the bus stop. I told him it doesn't seem fair - he starts his shift before I start mine and doesn't get out till after I do. Maybe he gets a "lunch hour".
