One and a half amaryllises have survived! One suddenly stuck a long stalk out from a bush where I had no idea there was a bulb, and has flowered pinkly. The half is a short stalk with bud that is lurking about in the debris where the neighbor man whacked down most of the self-sown Jupiter's staff pink fuzzy things at the sidewalk edge of the fence. If it manages to flower, it will be pink, too.
