D.O.P.-T. (day before yesterday)

I don't recall so much banging off of fireworks here in previous years. Quite startlingly loud booms; in previous years I'd heard more pops and whooshes. I had to go to work so I couldn't lurk in the back garden to see which direction(s) it was coming from, and I could have sworn private fireworks were illegal here. Maybe someone managed to get a permit to let 'em off in the park.

Nah, i think all the extra were pretty illegal. Plenty near my neighborhood too. Fortunately, the cats seem pretty oblivious. Edward and his friend Luigi were having too much fun playing in the poolside grass to come in.
