Sobe used to make a "sports drink" with a good mix of herbs to keep me awake on my night job and offset the drying effect of the heating/airconditioning. It was vaguely cherry-flavored and had ginseng and guarana in it as well as caffeine. Then of course they discontinued that product, so I reluctantly switched to the one with the same things in it that tastes of artificial lemon-orange. Better than Red Bull or Monster but still a bit nasty-tasting. The supermarkets keep stocking less and less of this and more and more of the Sobes with milk (!?) in them, or green tea (which makes me ill). Today Safeway had Sobes on sale, so there was a gaping hole where the few of my variety should have been. And one solitary one in the cooler with the chilled beers. I finally located the teaser display opposite one of the cash registers - way up on the highest shelf. I had to resort to grabbing one of the Pepto-Bismol 'n cream flavors from a lower shelf and using it as a tool to maneuver one at a time of the yellow bottles to where I could grab it with my fingertips. But I was victorious! Now I have another two work weeks' worth of sippin' stay-awake.
