The housemate has taken Yule off work and this is the start of my weekend, so when she woke up we had nice leisurely ballgames with the two dogs separately and then moved out into the yard, where her dog ran himself into the ground dashing athletically after his tennis ball and mine ran crazily in circles with his in his mouth, woofing happily.

Playful dogs are so great. The dog at the local gallery (well there's a million, but for me, PM Gallery is "the gallery") was in a great mood when I visited this past weekend, being chased by the owners' son and generally being delightful. He woofed at me and I woofed back before I could stop myself! Later, the gentleman owner got down in the floor and play-bowed at the dog (whose name I cannot remember, what is wrong with me?) and the dog was SO excited that he raced around in circles like a maniac.
